THE "Sweet Spot" of the Columbia River!
You MUST! visit the grounds of the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel.  The spring time is the absolute best time.  We spent our first anniversary there.  The room was just above the 208' waterfall which gently lulled us to sleep.  The sweeping views of the Columbia, the fresh air and the superb facility and services. Springtime is when all of the tulips, daffodils and other floral gardens are in bloom!  Immaculate, elegant...this hotel was built in 1921 by timber tycoon Simon Benson

With a modern twist, of course! Experience this true tradition of the Hawthorne neighborhood located in southeast Portland. This relic of a building has been restored with hand finished mahogany floors, sky bar with giant three story windows, and extensive white lacquer woodwork. The Arista Ballroom is at the crossroads of life in this southeast Portland neighborhood.

Tabor Summit, Hoyt Arboretum, Washington Park Amphitheater, South Waterfront Park, Leach Botanical Gardens, Oaks Pioneer Church, the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden and the World Forestry Center.
